DANGEROUS CHEMICAL ARE USED EXTERNALLY FOR PRESERVING FISHES

Webdesk, TNI Falakata, 06th January, 2016: Till now there were reports about water bodies were poisoned for catching fishes. Things are changing towards the worst situation. This 1st Plate item fish item of the Bengali’s is directly poisoned with dreaded chemicals and preservatives for weight increasing and preserving this water stock. Those chemicals are injected into the dead fish body regularly. The chemicals which are being used are:
- Formalin
- Formaldehyde
- Potassium Dichromate
- Sohaga
- Urea
- Isabgol
- Iron dust
All these chemicals are highly dangerous for human anatomy creating diseases like cancer, psychological disorder, body poisoning, kidney dysfunctioning, digestive dysfunctioning etc. In this connection, Mr. Asish Mandal, Biology teacher from Deogaon High School of Falakata told TNI that chemicals like Formaldehyde and Formalin can create Cancer in the human body. Dr. Bikram Saha (Ayurved) from Falakata told TNI that high levels of Isabgol are unacceptable for the human body. The ramifications came to light when iron balls were found in the stomach of fishes in Falakata Bazar area. These were used for increasing the weight of the fishes.
